HOW DID WE GET HERE AS A COUNTRY?

The truth is, we are all going to die some day but must any one be killed gruesomely this way?

 Background.
Captain Mahama, who was heading a military detachment near Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region, Ghana, met his untimely death last Monday when he was jogging when some residents of the area accused him of being an armed robber and lynched him.I am still in utter shock how we got to this stage as a country.

  A country like Ghana where we tout ourselves as peace loving, one people with a common destiny?No human feeling or the need to even cross check/verify a situation better before rushing to pass judgement?The fallen soldier according to his comrades was too gentle a person that he would even not hurt a fly left alone human beings. No wonder, although he had a pistol on him during the time of the incident, he failed to defend himself.

  Thomas Hobbes in the Leviathan said human beings are " nasty, brutish and short". And that's what truly we are.It is even written in Genesis 6:6 that " The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth and his heart was deeply troubled ".

 And to those sharing the horrific video and pictures of the lifeless body of the fallen Captain, what has happened to your sense for human feeling and respect for the dead?

 ''O look with pity on the scene Of sadness and of dread;And let thine angel stand betweenThe living and the dead ''.

 May God console his young wife and children.

 Fare thee well Captain for you served your God and country well.

Something funny happened to me the other day, when I went to the hospital. After seeing the General Practitioner (GP), she directed me to the laboratory to run some tests. I volunteered on November 25, 2017 to mentor young people desirous of shaping themselves to leading the change they want to see in their communities at BarCamp Sunyani, hash tagged #bcsyi. So what made ‘Brewster’s Millions’ tick? A young man is tasked to spend, or perhaps misspend $30 million in 30 days, to inherit a $300 million fortune willed to him by his great-uncle he never met. To help him dispense the cash quickly, he forms a political party which campaigns against itself and everybody else, urging the electorate to elect ‘None of the Above’ as Mayor of New York. He fulfils the conditions at the very last second to earn the millions he never worked for. Turns out the electorate did actually vote for the ‘None of the Above’ party, forcing a re-election for a new mayor. This Walter Hill-directed comic masterpiece is good enough for a movie.
