THE POWER SECTOR IS OUR MAIN ENGINE OF GROWTH

So, the past few days have seen some significant improvements in the power sector that no one is talking about, after the erratic power supply we have all being experiencing resulting in the shedding of between 300- 550megawatts (mw) of power which has been a huge burden on many Ghanaians especially industries. Short Term Measures; 1.A continuous rise in the water levels at the Bui Generating Station saw an increase in power from 200mw (during peak periods) + an additional 100mw (during off peak periods) totally 300mw from Bui alone. 3.Yesterday, more than 300 megawatts of power has been added to the national grid from the Aboadze Power Enclave.This follows the completion of repair works in the Aboadze Power Enclave comprising the TAPCo and TICO plants.
